Collaborate: By working closely with Total Homes Cooperative, Homes For Good have diverted up to 80% of waste that would otherwise go to landfill.
HOW THEY DID IT
The organisation have developed a rewarding working relationship with Total Homes Cooperative, a social enterprise that supports the circular economy in Scotland.
Homes For Good’s partnership with the organisation enables them to recycle between 70%-80% of removable waste taken from properties being refurbished. Items include furniture, discarded possessions, carpets and fittings that have reached the end of their life. Total Homes are their central clearance contractor, working to extend the use of household items by diverting them from landfill.
