Over the last year, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, supported by Scottish Enterprise, has been working on creating a set of resources to support SMEs across Scotland with their own Net Zero journeys.
These resources are designed by businesses, for business. Tapping into the knowledge and expertise from those who have been involved in Step Up to Net Zero previously, we have created a suite of open-source resources to support those looking to improve their sustainability, circularity and net zero work.
Existing resources of this nature, whilst good, often lack detail or guidance for those SMEs who don’t fit the ‘typical’ mould. The ACTS Toolkit aims to tackle that by designing resources that take into account the nuances faced by those in different sectors, different sized SMEs and those at different points on their sustainability journey.
The sectors covered by the ACTS Toolkit are:
Arts, Creative & Retail Sectors
Built Environment & Construction Sectors
Community Outreach & Charity Sectors
Hospitality, Events & Attractions Sectors
Services & Manufacturing Sectors
This work will be hosted on our website and will be launched in February 2025.
Events
We will be hosting five sector specific events to showcase the toolkit and bring together like-minded businesses who are embarking on their sustainability journey. The event details can be found below:
