About this event

It’s not sufficient to do things better, we need to do better things! And why? Both the planet and the bottom line will thank you.

Building on the success of our Showcase Event in April, Circular Glasgow: Get Inspired will give you the opportunity to meet a range of innovative Glasgow businesses who will be sharing their highs and lows of embracing the circular economy.

If you want to discover the benefits of adopting more circular business strategies, this is the event for you. Maybe you already have an innovative idea but just don’t know where to start? Or perhaps you want to meet other like-minded individuals who understand the importance of shifting away from the ‘take-make-dispose’ model. Whatever your reason, make sure you save the date!

Who will be speaking?

The event will be hosted by visionary Mark Shayler.

Mark Shayler runs two companies: Ape (www.thisisape.co.uk) and Rebel Cell (www.rebelcell.co). The latter builds start-ups inside large organisations. He is also a founding partner of the The Do Lectures and author of the book Do Disrupt: Change the Status Quo of Become it and also helps run Good for Nothing – a collaborative group that delivers design and strategy work for good causes, for nothing.

Mark has worked with some of the world’s largest organisations and smallest businesses to develop new products and services – and in the process, saved them shed loads (technical term) of carbon and over £120 million. In short, he works with companies and individuals to help them develop ideas… and move on! If you missed his blog last week, why not check it out (link to blog).

Delegates will also have the chance to hear from 5 local businesses including:

Scottish Event Campus (SEC)

Renewable Parts

St. Enoch Centre

Sofa for Life

Fishers Laundry Service

Circular inspired nibbles and drinks included….

And as we head towards the festive season, we will be inviting all our guests to finish the afternoon off with some circular inspired cocktails and street food.
