For organisations with existing policies, or if you have recently developed a new policy, conducting a self-assessment ensures that your commitments are relevant, measurable and impactful.

Use the checklist below (or download the Environmental Policy Checklist) to evaluate your policy documents.

    Best Practice

    • Showcase your policy framework and how it is integrated into your daily operations.
    • Communicate commitments internally and externally to encourage best practice.
    • Gather feedback at regular intervals and be open to amending your policy to ensure it is fit for purpose.
    • Review the relevant legislative frameworks to stay informed and ensure compliance with sector standards.
